Junior Bank Board

The Choice Financial Junior Bank Board is a program offered to high school juniors and seniors as an opportunity to learn about businesses and the role they play within the community and the economy.

Goals of the Junior Bank Board:

• Financial literacy
• Preparation for life outside high school
• Lessons in preparing for a job interview
• Students become more of an asset in the employment world
• Making leaders among peers
• Networking for peers and community

Sample topics at Junior Bank Board Meetings:

• Importance of investing and saving at a young age
• Insurance seminar regarding rates, deductibles, etc.
• Small business owner to talk about how they started their business
• How to read a credit report and the importance of credit scores
• How to apply for loans and manage a checking account
• Managing credit cards
• Ways to prepare for job interviews
• How the monetary system works

Choice Financial Scholarship

Each year Choice Financial is proud to offer an academic scholarship to outstanding students in the communities we serve.

This year, we are excited to offer six $1,000 scholarships to students who are graduating from high school this spring, and have attained at least a 3.0 grade point average. If you meet these two criteria, complete the enclosed application and mail to the following address. Also include a letter of recommendation from at least one reference and a copy of your transcript.

Applications must be received no later than March 20, 2009.
